CONTENT

 

The course Take the Future in your Hands is structured on three different modules:

A. Introduction in the Animal Welfare Education

B. Teaching and learning activities for the classroom

C. Field study visits.

EU is suggesting that schools should adopt the European Development Plan, which means a quality development plan for each school. It is one of the priorities of all policy makers and educational authorities in Europe. 

The course provides the knowledge, methodology, insights and skills needed to provide animal welfare education to the pupils/students. During the course the trainees will be introduced to methods which will enable them to organize the learning process and to enrich the development plan of the school.

METHODOLOGY

This course employs a variety of teaching-learning approaches and methods. There is a mix of workshops, with presentations and lectures, self and team reflection, pair work, small group activities, peer teaching sessions, roblem solving activities and case studies. Different role games and creative card’s games play an important role. The field work will also influence the overall outcome of the course. We have our histories, we live today and we have our futures. Greece is a suitable place to experience them all together.

PREPARATION

The participants will receive suggestions to prepare for the course well in advance, using learning materials we suggest.  They will also be asked to prepare a presentation about their school’s operation and their country.

FOLLOW UP

By the end of the course participants are asked to reflect on their learning experience and report accordingly. They will also be asked to fill in an evaluation questionnaire about the fulfillment of their expectations..

The course is organised by Aeiforuman NGO, specialized in the Sustainable School/Outdoor Education and Environmental Education. The trainers have a broad experience in teaching and learning methods, quality management and change management.

CANCELLATION FEE

50% of the tuition fee for cancelation at any time

The tuition fee is € 350 (5 days of tuition)
